Well last I was told is that not all fellow Pinoys have a van or a truck to you use back in the days to haul the suitcases etc., so they put the stuff on boxes and tear it up to fit all the contents inside the trunk and fold the boxes period.

Now here is why I started this post (I am bored) I saw a bag that you can slide the Balik Bayan box inside and zip it up !!

Now that to me is straight up useless and F.O.B.... shoot me please...

Oh and I am a filipino so I can observe and talk **** about it..

I use a suitcase coz I can fit more car parts in it and boxes are too small.

oh and the answer for that is... you throw away the boxes, whereas if you tried to bring home the tuyo fish from the PI in luggage, thatd would stink for many washes...

why the hell would you need a balikbayan boxed size ziplock bag?!

 

My girlfriend’s family left to Vietnam around a month ago. When we were at the airport checking-in I notice that we were the only people in line that were not shipping anything in boxes. My gf and I were laughing so much cause we thought it was funny. Next time I’m going jump on the band wagon and just ship all my stuff in boxes

 

I guess they use it to keep that American smell on the stuff they give away in da pilipins (da Pasalubongs are imported)

You need those balikbayan boxes to fit your ispam,emnems,soap,shampoo(revlon or geeyourhairsmellsterrific)Lotion,cornedbeef,payles s or kmart shoes,and alotta ader istaff cuz you know the whole town is gonna be waiting for you at the airport + all the peolple from the surrounding towns will be having a fiesta (welcome home party) for you with lechon,pancit,lambanog,esq,ginebra,san mig and a lot more...I guess That's why you need those boxes (pasalubong por da whole province or city where you live or where your going to):banana:
