My dad in a way. We were at his office and he handed me the keys to the Jeep he was driving at the time and told me, "if you can't figure it out we're not going home." I learned pretty fast. I was 14.

Earliest I remember is my cousin but I think I already knew.
I was something like 14 or 15. My cousin had a 73 superbeetle. She just asked if I wanted to go to livermore with her and I said sure. She got in the passenger side and told me to drive. I asked if the ebrake was off... she said yes. I stalled like 4 times before I figured out it was on. Then drove all the way to where we were going with no issues at all. Picked it up fast.

Noah@LIC
well actually I had learned 2 years prior to LIC swapping my auto for a manual on a friends Miata, but obviously I didn't remember much so after the conversion was done Noah gave me a half hour lesson in downtown Novato so I could actually drive the car home. Customer service FTW!

My pops made me disassemble an old Suby engine and trans and then taught me about how it all worked. A friend's mom needed her car brought home and my buddy asked if I could drive it. I had a license at the time but had never driven a standard and only had my moto when I was 15 (could get your license at 15 in Hawaii). When we got to the car turned out it was a 5spd. I didn't say I never drove one before, and learned on the way home. Didn't stall once and no one knew I had never driven a manual... To be honest I am still learning and refining how I operate manual transmissions. Don't think the learning will ever stop.
My dad in a POS nissan truck with no power steering when I was 17. Couldnt turn the wheel for **** at a dead stop!
P.S. Isn't it a huge turn on for a girl to drive stick!

HEYELL YEEUH!
My mum.
Back in England, probably 95% of cars are stick, so learning to drive and driving stick are pretty much rolled together.
Also, in the UK, you have to pass the driving test in a manual car if you want to drive a stick. If you pass your test in an auto, that is marked on your license and you can only drive autos unless you retake the test.

my MOMMY, when I was 15. My dad had a new jetta, the first time he took me out with ac/fan full blast and radio on. Well After killing it once he freaked out so we went back home. Keep in mind I could drive well just not drive a stick well. Well he was a total dick and realized he couldn't be present for it so my mom just took me in his car and I was set within a day.
I want an FD sooo bad....*kicks her FC* stupid car!
I first learned on a dirt bike when I was like 7 or 8 but that was just the basic concept. When I turned 13 my Dad and I bought a 1979 Jeep CJ-5 that had been rolled and effed up, so we restored that and when it was done. He taught me to drive a clutch in it...at like 16...I think. I still have the Jeep and 2 other manual cars...I love it...
