I don't seek death, but I certaintly am not afraid of it. I joke around about it a lot. For instance a lyric from a CD I have, "Pull the trigger and the nightmare stops". I have no problem listening to music like that or anything of the sort. I don't go around wishing I were dead. But if it happened tomorrow, oh well. That's the hand that was dealt to me.

Suicide prevention contacts in CA. Most counties also have free counseling for at-risk people. Severe depression is a mental health issue and cannot be resolved on a message board.

I posted the links for the benefit of others that might be thinking of harming themselves. You're not the only one who posted here.

Question Is this what you mean?

I think what you are feeling is what is inside of most Men... The will to do something with your life other than sitting through years school, working a career you hate under artificial light, sitting in traffic, and dying without contributing a damn thing to the world.

I think this "thing" inside us makes us want something worthy to fight and die for. I think many people like you (should I say I) want is a good war so we can be men.

Ok.. but here's reality. Unless we get invaded or something really nasty happens, read the new testament and live a good life. In the back of my mind I hope something nasty happens. That reminds me, I need to pick up more canned food and ammo.

You bring up a good point. I can see someone "breaking-down" in a scenario like that...

it's definately not me though.

I've accomplished a lot in the few years I've been on the p.e., and I've had a good share of trauma in my life.

Everything that has happened to me has fomented to where I must now transform into a precise, deadly weapon.

I think it was very black-humored sarcasm.

The truth is that under Lenin and Stalin, the Soviet government became the greatest mass-murderer in history. Lenin's collectivization and purges of 1921-1922 caused 4 million deaths. In 1932, Stalin ordered Ukraine starved to enforce collectivization and crush Ukrainian nationalism. At least 8 million Ukrainians were murdered. Others resorted to cannibalism.

From 1917 to Stalin's death in 1953, the Soviet Union, worshipped by leftists around the world as the acme of human political accomplishment, shot, tortured, beat, froze or starved to death at least 40 million of its people. Some Russian historians claim the true figure is even higher.
