for me it is not a fear of death, but a fear of not knowing what happens (or doesn't) after death.

If you hate your life so much, change what you don't like about it and stop acting like a *****. It's just that simple. Feeling sorry for yourself will do nothing. There are people out there that are WAY worse off than you so just keep that in mind. Just be happy you have food to eat, a place to stay, a car to drive, etc.

Dave you have an STi dude, that should be reason enough to be happy!!

before ya'all kick da bucket surrender your extra car parts to me, which I will then distribute to the i-club community on per need bases (ya rite).

man on a serior note instead of dying, join the peace core or some such - they will put you to hard work in far away land, and you gonna wish you died, but at the same time be happy you didn't. Someone I know got send to some place remote in asia, and it came down to us having to ship soap and shampoo to were they were working, but apparently they having a blast.

however if you looked through your options, and still want to die ... oh well

BUT remember about the car parts!

wow....this is pretty intense.

I don't take suicide to lightly. A good friend of mine called me...I missed the call my seconds. She attempted suicide that night. Lived thank god. A guy I went to high school with hung himself from a tree in front of his parents garage. it's just not something to take lightly. So if you are serious about all this...I'm with Arrkash. get some help.

I used to be majorly suicidal. I had a knife up to my wrist once in high school...my folks buzzed in on the intercom right then.

I spent most of my life with some kind of death wish. Jumping off of things...doing stupid things. I once jumped off a 3 story construction project into the sand just to see if it I could clear the cement mixer. crap like that.

I'll tell you right now man..it's an interesting topic to think about..how you'd like to go out..how you'd do it...etc. It's something that comes up as an easier way out when all hell brakes loose. But it's about the most self centered act a person can make. Leaves behind everyone else to deal with your problems for you and all the new ones you give them.

sometimes people still say I have a death wish....I was refused paragliding lessons because of it... but the truth of the matter is....I don't want to die...not at all. I think life is much much more fun.

that's not a bad idea. i think helping others in more need of you will put your life into perspective and help you realize that you actually don't have it too bad.

my cousins and i have joined www.volunteermatch.org they'll help you find something to volunteer at that interests you (kids, church's, community events...etc...).

I'll say it again. Feeling sorry for yourself isn't gonna do a damn thing. And don't compare yourself to other people because some people just don't have to go through any hardships their entire life. So why should you have to? That's just life. Sometimes you get dealt a ****ty hand, sometimes not. It all depends. But to sit there and do nothing about your current situation is either plain lazy, stupid, or both. You gotta make **** happen sometimes and not wait around for **** 2 happen. Everyone goes through some rough times. Learn from it and move on.

view askew...I totally agree man. I have a bit more compassion on it but yeah I agree. Some people lived charmed lives. Born rich die rich...nothing too bad happens. some get screwed...seems if a bad thing can happen....it does. but evenn charmed lives can carry their own kind of burdons...that's why I have a bit more compassion on it.

people quite regularly ask me how the hell I did it. Got where I am after the hands I've been delt. I pretty much look at it the way you do. I got delt it. You can either sit there and keep taking bad hands...or you can stand up and go to another table or walk out the front door and move on.

suicide is the ***** way out, i used to hate life blah blah blah wanted to end it all blah blah blah

then i came to the conclusion that suicide was the ***** way out, and well i cant be known as a *****. Life is a challenge and once you accept that challenge you are on your path to an endless journey full of ups and downs, and all sorts of surprises.

Dont **** out sack the **** up and use that distates and hatred for a goal.

I do have compassion, but not for people who just cry about how bad they have it. That's the problem. Alot of people complain about stuff they don't have instead of being grateful for stuff they do have. Life has so much to offer if you take advantage of it.

It's one thing if you're a homeless bum w/ nowhere to go and no possible future ahead of you. However, this is not the case for most people. I mean come on, it can't be that bad. Just be lucky you're living here instead of some underdeveloped 3rd world country.

Right on. Dead on right there.

Interesting thing on homeless people. Some of the coolest people I've ever met in SF have been homeless people. I see the same ones every day so eventually I talk to the ones that seem sane. Two of them I know of for sure....pulled themselves off the street. One beat a haroine adiction. Finished his degree from Rudgers at UCSF and now tutors kids and is married. The other got a job. Is in school for mechanical engineering. learing every type of welding he can. Guy is just flat cool and doing fine.

This one guy I see every day now blows me away> sits in front of starbucks (i don't get coffee there) and is so freakin happy it's crazy. Always thanking people for the littlest thing. Always blessing people. God this and that and what not. So happy..ALL the time. It's crazy. The other day I gave him all the change I had...was only like 30 cents or something...I felt bad..but you know what he said to me...

Oh..wow...thanks so much. might change my luck for me today... I appoligized for not having more..and he just said...no worries...Ray you have a good heart. Dude remembered my name. I have only talked to him once and that was a while back. He's been there for years.

Made me feel really good but like an *** hole at the same time.

Take the time to learn from everyone and everything you experience... wisdom comes from humble places.

In the bay area...without the right kind of support..family and what not...homelessness really isn't that far away for a lot of people. There are some really great people on the street.

I just want to die peacefully. None of this being buried alive or stuck on BART as the bay tunnel fills with water ... *shiver* I'd much rather get blown up.
