I had my valve covers replaced last year and I replaced the turbo return line (what a PIT!) about 6months ago.

Thanks!
I know where its going:

Could be a bad PCV valve, valve seals, turbo seals, rings or ringlands. What motor are you running?

its an ej25 hybrid w/vf39 & STi Topmount. I bought it with these mods already done and I added a Turboback exhaust, im pretty sure the previous owner slapped on the OEM exhaust to get it smogged before he sold it.

If it's an OEM EJ257 with stock pistons, I'm willing to bet a cracked ringland is your culprit. Time for a compression/leakdown test. Or just keep putting oil in it

Yeah, being the semi-poor college student that I am, I wish I had the money to get tests done, and head up to you guys for a proper tune/maintenance. Maybe some day haha.

Well if you can't afford to get the test done, you definitely can't afford to fix it. So I would just recommend driving it easy and topping off your oil often.

if you can undo the plugs yourself borrow a compression tester from autozone/kragen and diy - worth the time and easy to do if you've got basic tools / time to get in there. compression test can reveal a lot for sure.

good luck!

Using a bore scope, look & see if your pistons look like this:

We shall see the difference with the new oil...

This might be a dumb question, But you need to pull the spark plugs to use the borescope correct?

Yep. Need to see inside the hole to your piston heads. Unless you want to take the block heads off which u dont.

compression/leakdown tests are by far the best and easiest test to check for worn rings. as stated, its as simple as removing plugs and coil and giving her a few cranks. be sure to have batt charging as this drains a lot of power. test kits can be rented or bough at any auto store or u can pick up a cheap HFT set. although, id suggest renting one. GL bud!

I know what PCV stands for dude. I'm asking why he thinks it would be were large quantities of oil are going.

And I saw that it was quoted after I posted. I hadn't read those 2 posts.
