And its not that Im hating on scooters either, but yeah for the price those ruckus trade for you should at least get something with 200cc. 50cc wont even get you up half the hills here in SF
the only scooters that I think are worth a **** for anything besides a pitbike are like the 2stroke older vespas or the larger morpheus, bergman, silverwing types.

Speaking as someone that has been riding like forever and has owned scooters a 50cc 4stroke is downright dangerous when you need to get out of the way. I even had a 50cc 2stroke riva as a 7elev machine (that my buddies and I broke the frame on jumping it thrillbillies style ) and I had quite a few near misses cause the crap brakes and gutless motor.

I saw so many pimped out tw200's in japan, a way better choice for a small runaround

Yeah I'd def rock one of those,

or if you your heart is dead set on a scooter how about a Honda Elite 250?
They can be found in the $1K range, and hell just take off all the fairing and murder it out ruckus style!

The thing is that the Ruckus is cool looking... even more so than an Ratted Elite... though that does look way better!

How about a big Ruckus? You haven't mentioned whether you care if it's slow or not but if you do the big one came with a 250. It's a whole different kind of ugly though...
