Where to buy brake pads in the SFBA?
I'm down to 10% on all 4 sets of pads. Dealership sells all around pads for about $175. B.A.P. sells Wagner Front organics for $47 and Rear semi-metallics for $43.
Just for $ I'm considering the Wagners... but I hear bad things about getting semi-metallic. Is it worth the worry? Or should I go ahead and get them.
OR... does anyone else have a secret spot for WRX pads at a decent price? I don't need race pads. Street. performance quality at best, if not just regular street pads.
thanx,
jason

I haven't gotten new brakes for the WRX yet, but on my 300ZX, I am really happy with the Porterfield R4S brakes for street use. You can order them directly from Porterfield.

What about PBR Deluxe (used to be Repco)
I am pretty certain PBR offers pads for the WRX now. Has anybody had experience with them. What about Pagid?

http://www.writerguy.com/primitive/susp.htm Get the set, he ships fast, and does paypal. Tell him you are really running low, and would appreciate if he could what he can to get these out to you. I got mine in 4 days from when i e-mailed him the order and paypaled him.
They dust like CRAZY, but they stop, and are quiet on my car.

I had the Axxis MetalMasters on my car from www.stoptech.com and they were pretty much awesome. Of course they dusted, but they were quiet, they stopped well, and they were lasting really well. IIRC you can get all 4 corners for ~$110 or so. A great buy if you ask me, and I'm the bargain queen.
O and Jason did you hear about my car?

This isn't local, but STOPTECH was offering the Axxis Ultimates for something like $37-9 shipped for the fronts, which is A STEAL!!! Plus, Axxis pads are one of the best street/track pads around--VERY stock rotor friendly.
I hope the deal is still good....check the "other board" in the Vendor For Sale section. (just search for STOPTECH).
Peace

Doh... thanx for all the replies. I shoulda waited for your replies :-/
I went and got Wagners (read "normal mediocre") from B.A.P. due to time. Well now I know.
These pads seem about as good as stock.
