when you change remote key battery,

Hey guys,

Quick question. When I change the battery on the key remote, does the key reset itself? I'm reallllyyy far from any kind of help so I can't really take a chance. Thanks a bunch.

I think the remote has a set unique identification code always in it so I think you're safe when you change the battery. The module in the car learns the key's code, not the key learning the car's code

I don't think that's quite correct, I know I replaced one of my remotes and had it coded to match my car, and the other one still works.

the module in the car can store multiple key codes. I have a spare one and they both work
