Weird, I have seen at least four new Golf R's now. They look really nice, only a little different from a GTI. Last one was a charcoal grey 4door I saw on Mother's day at Big Basin in the parking lot. Manual. Totally awesome (but waaaaay too expensive). Guess I will pay more attention when I see another.
Moved their production back to mexico from what i understand.
The Mk7 (golf) r won't be in the states for another year or two.

Not sure if you're interested in a used one, but Lasher Dodge in Elk Grove has a used white one. Their asking 29k, but I gave them an offer before I bought my WRX for 25K otd, and they claimed that I was close. I'm thinking 26.5k OTD would be doable

No doubt, trying to help haha. Another good dealership to go see is Lithia Reno Subaru. What I did was get a quote from them, but was pretty damn low for my WRX, and see how many local dealerships would match it. Bay Area wasn't budging too much, but I know Modesto, and Autowest (Roseville) matched those prices and I ended up getting my WRX from Autowest. A little bit of work, but it adds up. And if I remember correctly, Autowest had a WRB and SWP BRZ in stock when I went to pick up the WRX
