Like all the other TV stations, Discovery and the other "educational" channels are just pandering to the lowest common denominator to stay afloat now. Think about it: when you go into the streets, don't you feel strangers getting stupider and stupider by the week?

This new series on Discovery Channel looks pretty good.

 

I just noticed that most of the programs went from covering nature and the wonders of the natural world to engineering and how people build stuff or how machines work.

 

you HAVE to see these channels in HD. man watching anything not in HD sucks

 

If it wasn't for Mythbusters and Shark Week, I would probably never watch the Discovery channel.

what's wrong with mythbusters? I enjoy the show and actually learn from some of their experiments.

I got quite the kick out of the bullet resistant phone book armored suv segment they did

 

it's just some of their firearm related stuff... are kinda weak.

weakest is the carlos hatchcock sniper shot through the scope...
