Ive got some MB Quart QM 218.61 Q series that are getting installed in my car. they sound really crisp. the highs are too high sometimes but you could tweak that w/ an eq.

I think you may have me confused with Dave/darkone. He sold his WRB car to another member of i-club. I drove the Silver RST. I sold that car, and I now have a 04 White STi. I can give you the hook up price at the store. $20 for the 8 gauge kit or 30 for the 4 gauge kit. Just swing by and pick one up.

Let me know. I was thinking 6.5" for the front and 5.25 for the rear, using IA adapter rings.
Thanks,
Jacob
I have MB Quart PCE-216 6.5" Component in the front and Diamond Audio 5.25 Hex S500a 5.25 in the rears. They are crystal clear, but you need an amp. I am running a soundstream Reference amp to power of them. I also have JL 10"w6V2 sub also running on a soundstream amp.
If you are planning on just speakers upgrades I would recommend Sony X plod speakers... they are cheap and do not require an amp.
I strongly suggest you buy something decent and power it with an amp. Do it once, do it right!
There's a guy from San Luis Obispo that sells everything for a very reasonable price. His name is Jerry and he hooked me up with some really quality stuff for cheap, for example... my sub , 10" JL W6V2 cost $275, AMS car audio quoted me $400. Retail is about $500.
Here's his info

Good luck putting your system together.
