Anyone using Hard Front control arm bushing (aka ALK)
Well these bushings are part of STi Group N
It is same bushing as ALK except it isn't made with polyurethane
has anyone tried these cuz ALK is too harsh for my taste
and yes this is my 1st post here

Haha, weird I would have never guessed.
Anyhow, the STi Group N bushing is totally different from an ALK as the STi piece does not affect caster whatsoever, and thus does not provide any of the "anti-lift" properties that the SLK supposedly does. That is a whole other topic, and I won't go into it here but while the STi pieces will make the steering feel sharper and reduce play, they will not provide the added static and dynamic castor that the ALK will.
EDIT: Oh and just so you know, Whiteline now makes a version of the ALK with a much softer "comfort" bushing in it for people who found the first version too harsh.
EDIT AGAIN: Now that I think about it, I have a pair of the STi Grp N bushes that I plan to install as soon as i get my front end straightened out.
I'll let you know if they make much of a difference.

The STi bushings are fantastic. They function precisely as indicated. Steering response and stability improve markedly. I drove a stock suspensioned wagon, and thought the car was broken. They are a wonderful addition to the car, and add no NVH or noise.

not if you do it yourself
but if a shop(esp one who knew what they were doing, such as GB motorsports) had to do it, i don't think they would charge more than 1.5 hrs labor max. so you're looking at $80-$120 to have some one else install them.
if you did it for your first time without a lift, it would probably take 3-4 hours.
