What would you guys run??
I know that you guys are pretty much into the more is better deal, So what brakes would you run on your WRX? Stoptech BBK or the JDM (I don't know if it matters) STI Brembo's? I have the Stoptech BBK on my wagon but have access to some Brembo's and was wondering if they were better in any respects. Thanks for the help.

I would recommend the StopTechs any day over the Brembos....
I have run both and will be getting rid of my brembos soon. They flex more and do not having the confidence inspiring stomping power, yes I said stomping power.
I hear the aftermarket Brembo GT kit is superior. Its also easier to get parts for the aftermarket brembos. Recently I tried to get parts (dust seals) for STi brembos and the piston sizes are larger (not better) than the GT kit has, and brembo USA does not carry them. They insisted I go to a Subaru dealership for them. The rebuild kit, not just one seal was what I had to purchase. You can imagine it was not cheap either.
Good luck

Depends how much you want to spend but i would go with stoptech. I've drove a couple wrx's with stoptechs and like others described, the stoptechs have a stiffer feel and do have more stomping power. I went with the jdm brembos (same as USDM) because the price was too good to pass up. They are still a great upgrade over stock though and for street use you will be very happy with either setup.

Thanks for the replies. I have the Stoptechs now and i do like them alot....not too sure on the pads though (way too much dust for starters) I have some Earls steel braded lines and use the dot4 so i think that i'm ok. My friend who own's Porschedoctor.com says that the Stoptechs are the same cailpers that they use on some carrera's. I also like the fact that the Stoptechs will clear wheels a little easier. Thanks again for the help.

Stoptech...
With the stock pads from the STi Brembos...they suck.
I can make them fade really WAY too easily. Take them up on Panoramic Hwy, and those suckers are toast.
Have to save up pennies to upgrade the pads. Dissappointment in Brembos that can't stop a car...

Have you looked into GREX and Alcon? Both are worth considering if your going to spend the money. Not saying you should get them as I don't know exactly what your preferences are and what your looking to spend but just an idea.
