What would you buy for 15k?

My GF's 02 Civic EX is burning oil like crazy, so it's time to get rid of it. She wants to spend around 15k. The car should be reliable, not too boring and it can't be too big since we live in SF. Ideas?

What do you want the car for?

If your gf was happy with the civic before it started burning oil, perhaps another civic?

What would I buy for 15k? I'd restore my 1970 Benz! What should your GF buy for 15k? Well, how 'bout a 1970 Benz?

Seriously though, slightly used Impreza? Another Civic if she was happy with it?

If we didn't have to park it on the street, I might actually be interested.

It seems like her Civic should have gone longer than 130k. It makes me a little wary of another Civic, even though all of my other experience with Honda has been good.

You can buy a wrx w/ 15k. **** I got my 06 wrx TR w/ mods and a full stereo for 12.8 and it only had 32k on it.

Mini Cooper or Mini Cooper S depending on your need of power. Small, and it does decently on gas mileage. Or any of the common eco boxes; Corolla, perhaps another Civic, Scion XA?

Rgr that, or so I've read. IMO, if I had to do it all over again, I think the Cooper S would suit my current needs...over...the...Subaru
