76 Super 10w40... But I also drive a PedoVan with 174xxx on it.

I used to run 5w30, but switching to 10w40 I have noticed that the Engine temp is a lot more stable and the engine runs a lot smoother overall.

as far as oil goes, I have heard that every car is slightly different and preforms differently with different oil. I would say just try a few different weights of oil and see what works best for you and your driving.
