yeah, but Mr. Two is not that great for dori dori. heard the balance is way off. 240 hatch Turbo KA FTW!!

edit: i know the coupe is better balanced than the hatch, but the hatch is just so damn sexy!

I have a 92 240sx with 180k on the KA and it rocks hard as reliability goes. If MR2s were easier to work on then a maybe. But wheel fitment is not that good. And the VP of Cusco told me that it's a very easy car to crash into the wall. At least, that's what he advised my friend. LOL But yeah 240sx is top contender for drifting. Hachi doesn't have enough hp. 240 stock will smoke those.

MR2s aren't good drift cars, well they are but you better be damn good. my friend in vegas drifts with a SW and he said there's no problems getting the rear out, but you better be quick on catching it. last time i talked to him he said screw the SW for drifting, he's going to use that as a time attack car and have a corolla for drifting.

for 5g, i would get a s13 or s14. i agree with the KA. hell even if you blow them they are cheap.

Keep in mind there are 3 very different types of MR2's. They are great drift cars but they require skill since they are mid engine and the weight can make it swap ends. The weight also makes it easier to initially get the rear out without having tons of power or yanking a handbrake. I have personally spent a lot of time behind the wheel of a sideways MR2 Spyder and seen a few other people drift this same car (don't be fooled, this took LOTS of practice). A friend was able to repeatedly drift through turns 14 and 15 at T-Hill for a photo shoot in this very car on Victoracers.

Keep in mind people, even though there are cars that are better suited for this practice and some that aren't, it is ALLLLLLL about the driver. To truly be the champion of the slow way around a race track, it takes practice, comfort with the platform and the ability to PRECISELY modulate the throttle and steering.

There weren't any CARB legal turbo kits for my old fastback, so I had to put her down after a 2 years of great service. Here are some shots of the changing of the guard on a ranch atop Mt. Hamilton........

Biased for sure (see the username), but I'd go unconventional and do a 94-96 Chevy Caprice Cop Car (9C1) with the LT1 in it.

Plenty of power to drift (260 HP stock, and 300+ HP is fairly easy/cheap with bolt-ons), cheap (can get a decent one now for under $3K), and just weld the spider gears in the rear diff for instant drift action

The entertaining paint schemes one could do are also fun...think Taxicab drifter

i don't like the ae86 anymore..... damn initial d and their line of fans, ITS A HERO CAR BECAUSE ITS THE UNDER DOG PEOPLE!!!! anywho... its not a bad car, just isn't the car i would get for drifting... takes way too much money to make it a good drift car IMO... 510s and old datsuns ( 1600, 2000, z's etc) are nice but it falls into the ae86 area.... too expensive to make fun but it is more rare (which is good!) and MOST initial d fans will think its a POS and keep talking about the ae86, rx7 are good, miatas are great, mr2s are fun just becasue their such a hand full, 240s have their problems but they're good

I'd get a Miata, but not to drift.
