If you had $5000 to buy a RWD drifter what would you get.
MR2 / AE86 / 240sx / datsun510 ect.... HELP me out i- club. Also if there are any
other good ones let me know =P

 

a 510 would be a hard route to take, parts for them are rare

AE86. Solid axle, fun, light, rev-happy motor, oh yeah. My favorite choice would be a '72 Celica but they are too rare and special like the 510 though a huge bonus with an old Celi, Rota or 510 is the smog excemption... My '80 Celica was really easy to drift - could do figure 8's until you just didn't want to any more. Another car that was pretty fun to drift was an '01 MR2 Spyder before we put the V700's on. Maybe an old MR2?

Everyone and their mother has a beater drift 240. I'd go with an El Camino.

 

510s are cooler than drifting anyway

510 + 13B rotary = Too Sexy!

 

but make sure you have the JDM front end, other wise they wont drift at all, total understeer!
and a little plush doll hanging from your rear bumper that tells cops to "pull me over!"

 

i think if it were me, for that kind of cash i'd try to find the cleanest S14 i could, and then just run with it. especially if you could get an SE model.

 

What's the engine life on a 240 anyways? I've been looking for one as well.

It's an iron block Nissan motor. That's all I have to say about the engine.

Just look at how many 240SXs, Altimas (93-01), and the old Nissan pick ups are on the road today.

 

1) 510 is t3h hottest.
2) 240 is drifto magic.

 

man, you know what you should do, get an LSD...or just practice with 4 wheel drift...
