This is what makes owning a Subaru so damn fantastic!
*Start emo thread*
In my 9 years of being part of i-club and other forums, the members here in BAIC have helped me far more then any other forums could possibly hope to accomplish.
What prompted me to start this thread out of the blue today is because I got a PM earlier today from an i-clubber that I don't even know outside of these forums... You all know about my intercooler issue right now, and it could potentially cause me to lose work because I can't get there... So I open up my PM and an i-clubber who shall remain nameless (privacy issues) sends me a message offering to take me to work for the next few days because I'm not able to drive the car long distances and I have a 3 hour commute which he knew about.
How friggin bad *** is that? A stranger sees a member in distress and instead of sitting on his *** and doing nothing, he actually offers to do my 3 hour commute just to take me to work and back. I dunno, to me that was beyond cool.
Thats not where it ends either, in the past I've had folks help me with almost anything imaginable... I've gone out of my way to help others as well... It just feels good to help someone.
I'm not kidding when I say this, but our community is really a big factor in owning a Subaru. I feel bad for folks who don't know about us yet, they are seriously missing out.
I know we have our drama and stuff sometimes, I just look at them as growing pains. I know some people are rubbed the wrong way because of my dry sarcasm sometimes, but the truth is that I'd never purposely be a ***** to anyone unless I'm attacked first... heheh...
We all need to remember that we're on the internet and everything we say can be taken in the wrong or right way, so don't ever take anyone seriously when they are being aholes cuz I can 98% guaranty that none of those folks would act mean in real life... Its very hard to be sarcastic on the web, and most of the time stuff comes out wrong... So always remember that, otherwise you'll gain a lot of enemies and it'd be a shame to lose a resource such as our collective mind for the sake of being mean for no reason.
I'm sort of blabbing now, but I just want to extend a very big thank you to all of you guys for making this place as wonderful as it is... I'd thank Alex for creating this forum, but he's no longer the site owner, though we all owe thanks to him still... I'm not going to thank our new admins because they aren't members, they are only here to make $, and I don't blame them.
You'd be amazed at how much people have helped me over the years... I can't even count the amount of times actually. I try to help people as much as possible when I can, and I urge you guys who are lurkers to start participate in BAIC with us.
Also, thanks to all the moderators for helping this site out... I know people get mad at us for things sometimes, but all we're doing is enforcing the rules that the admins have laid down... If we let stuff slip and enforce other things, we'll break out in chaos... So it's better to just follow the lax rules and we're a happy family.
Again, thanks for everything guys! I don't know what I'd do without i-club (BAIC).

aww, what a sweet thread. Yeah, i-club is a pretty awesome place. As some know I was first on back in 01, and after a Subaru hiatus I returned. It was so nice to be welcomed back and remembered, and to see some familiar faces on here. I've met some great people through i club-hell, back in the day, I was in a serious relationship with a former i-clubber that I am still good friends with. When I read my old posts I wrote using my old sn it cracks me up, but in a sense I really did sort of 'grow-up' on i-club!
