Comcast cable is faster than DSL in my experience. Although DSL is better value for the average user imo.

Lucky for me, my landlord pays for the Comcast cable here

Well... actually even though I have 802.11g, the interference in my neighborhood is so bad that I get 802.11b speeds, with spurts of 802.11g speeds. =(

I just ordered ATT Yahoo DSL for my new apartment... $20/month for 1.5 mbit down is a pretty good deal in my opinion.

yes comcast is faster in some cases depending on how close you live to the server(same as DSL) Comcast is a waste of money IMO. unless you're d/ling **** all day every day... dsl is still fast.

I would suggest either sonic.net or DSL Extreme. if you go with them you can use me as a referal so I get a free month of service. my email is drama...at...dslextreme.com. replace the ...at... with an @ symbol of course.
me too i have DSL Extreme.. very satisfied.

When I'm at work I chill directly plugged into our main switch which has a gigabit uplink . Its a mix of cogent ntt and japan telecom but...its quick enough .

At home I run 6 mbits down ~768k up DSL w/ a /29 for around 70/mo i think.

w00t satellite. I have pretty fast internet, but my router ****ing sucks. It blocks a lot of outgoing traffic and incoming traffic that it doesnt need to block. I download pretty fast, but if i want to play an online game, i have hella high ping

but then agian, besides dialup, its the only thing i can get because of location
