email I received today...looks like there's some planning...

While which track is better is debatable, I feel Infineon would be a better place for a gathering. It's a smaller area so there wouldn't be as much walking, there are garages right in the paddock instead of pit lane so the cars could be parked inside and we could all look at them. Plus the store and food facilities is much better at Infineon than Laguna Seca. Not to mention, the majority of BAIC probably lives closer to Infineon.

If you can make this happen, I'm sure I could get some people to go out.

i work for SCRAMP thats what i put my 2 cents in about laguna. they have garages there also and the paddock isnt TOO big. deffinately something to consider, might be cheaper to rent than infineon. you are right, most baic owner are up towards infineon so there would be a better turn out possiblity up there.

Only problem with that is with the timetable for the release party...

You have some sort of Monterey "Concert" going on which takes up the entire week...

Okay guys...

Word is that we're waiting on the legal dept. at Subaru Corporate (New Jersey) to make up their minds about the liability aspects of this as to whether or not we go forward with this. If we do, thanks to most of the vendors around here, and a few others, including Subaru of America and all of the Bay Area Subaru dealerships, we already have a venue...though not the one we were hoping for, it still is a favorable and central site to most of the Bay Area.

The date would be in the first week of August...just want to let everyone know that the Northwest Region is completely behind this...but without clearance from Subaru Corporate, we won't be able to pull this off.
