what to do with my car??? how much?
I might be done with my car and done with subaru. Why can't people just do what they say they're gonna do.
My car...high mileage wrx.
2004. WRX wagon. Aspen White. 100,000 miles.
Currently has pink wagon springs, stoptech brake lines. DBA rotors, hawk pads, sedan rear sway bar. JDM fog lights. JDM v7 gold wheels. No roof rails. Tinted windows. Matt JK screne. Alpine tech. 2 jl amps. jl 10w7 in a fiberglass box. Short shifter. SPT intake/heat shield. Perrin cat back. pretty much brand new ACT streetlight flywheel, EXEDY Stg. 1 clutch, SS clutch line. Front and rear kartboy shifter bushings. Whiteline steering rack bushings. Whiteline rear sway mounts. Will sell with a new to very little used stock turbo.
How much can I expect to get for my car?
Trade in looks like $9000 which is rediculous..high mileage or not. The car is religiously maintained. Mobil 1. etc.
I'm wondering if it's worth tearing apart or just selling whole.
I'm waying three options really. Keeping it and just saying screw the dealership and not counting on them any longer to do what they say. Trade it in on an 08. Sell it and buy an 08 or just buy something else. A truck maybe.

keep it. do a simple stage two(uppipe/TBE/Tuning) maybe an MBC, and replace that leaky turbo.
I'll even give you a hand turning wrenches. I replaced my stock turbo with another practically new TD04, and no more smoke without the cats at stop lights!

yeah but real synthetic is not good for our cars. Specially if driven hard. Need thicker oil.
Most dealerships will recommend you switch back to standard oil...strange but true..haaa.
as for the car...if it goes I'll be selling everything. I have all my stock stuff except the fog lights.
If I keep it I'll definately take the help turning wrenches...plenty of beer and bbq on hand everytime my car gets worked on. Think 3 of us went through like 40-50 beers sat. haaa.
If I keep it I'm thinking up/down/ap2/injectors/pump/18gtd05. that's it. Nothing more. It'll stay that way until it blows up. My goals for the car have always been handling and about 250-275whp.
aaron...thanks for the photos. Those are the first photos of my car with those wheels and I've had them through 2 sets of tires..haa.
as for done with subaru. Do a search..in fact I may bump it. SOA SUCKS...etc.
Basically SOA is screwing me on my extended warranty. Now Subaru of Santa Cruz is pissing me off for the first time by jerking me around on some other warranty work. They DO NOT do what they say they will do. SOA is rediculous. If I purchase another subaru I will not get the warranty and the only people touching my car will be me/friends and GST. that's it...ever. I have been nothing but supportive of Subaru of Santa Cruz up until now.
Depending on what happens in the next 8 hours you may read a lengthy and detailed post/update on what's happening and what happens to my car.
I'll miss it if it goes. I honestly think I have one of the better looking wagons around. (head swells..lol). I like it with the original look and I like it now.
