Ever seen smoke come out of the exhaust? Oil changes done every 3k? Car burning oil at all? The stock tune is really weird on the 11+ WRX's often times the rpm idle dips when coming to stops. It was to the point of sometimes almost stalling. The good thing is you'll get a new motor out of this and get to do break-in-period all over again lol. Just found it interesting. At least you got to use your warranty haha.

No smoke other than cold start ups.. Oil changes done on time with 5w30 full syn.. I was at a cobb stage 1 ots map with sf intake.. Only good thing is that I am using my warranty for this.. everything else is bad because I HATED the break-in period but it shouldnt be that bad.
As for reference.. here is the exact sound I am getting.. doesnt sound too nice

Unless it has and you're hiding something from the rest of us. You sure there isn't a B16/18 under the hood?
Failures of ringlands not rod knock btw.

Put on a Jimmy Rustler on for fun. Now I can swap whenever I want to!
It really is RFL

It really is RFL

OK so this all started about 2.5 weeks ago before I installed my front sway bar. Going up hill it felt like the engine would loose power and every time I went up hill it would lower the RPM's even when clutch is engaged and I would have to quickly press my clutch in to make sure the engine doesnt shut off.
As soon as I installed my FSB with awdorgtfo he pointed out an oil "leak" that we thought existed.. so of course I took it immediately to my local dealership.
So I took my car to the dealership and I told them yo, I see a leak.. heres where it is tell me whats going on. They said its nothing and proceeded to wiping it all off..
As soon as I got my car back I called to Livermore Subaru to see if they could do a second opinion of course being that the car was just looked at by a different dealership they said they cant until there is an actual visible issue...
So now after a week and only about 40 miles or so driving it from the 1st dealership I started my car on Saturday morning and I started to hear a rattling noise so I thought it was the heat shield that maybe got loose or something.. I decided you know what given the history of the oil issue I would not drive it.. so I decided to tow it to Livermore Subaru about 30 minutes away from me but I have heard good things..
The service manager Alex (very kool guy..) walked out with me to my car asked me to open my hood and started to listen.. moment I pressed my accelerator he told me it sounds like a rod snapped.
Now I rarely drive my car hard and I normally drive like a damn granny because of my route and cops being around. So he told me it could possibly be that its a factory issue and Subaru will take care of you immediately.
So not only did I collect all my service records but I even called SOA and filed a complaint not only on the 1st dealership but I was told this isnt the first report.. It is rare but not the first for my generation..
Now its the waiting game of getting my car back
@04GG I bought the car new.. this car is only 11 months old and I dont drive like a douche bag... so I know its nothing I did personally.

So yeah, took it to a self-wash place with a pressure hose, there was a pretty thick caked layer of salt under my car. Hopefully I got it all...
