Sooo about 180F or 84C oil temps sitting at a light after freeway driving.

A good difference from stock temps with a cooler.

Stock oil temps are around 90- 100C I asked a few people.

The sensor is in the rear galley plug too.

Yea I feel bad for the gr guys with no stock cooler at all.

Is yours a radiator tube fin type cooler? Or a larger canister?

That coolant cooler isn't really a cooler. It's an oil warmer since water heats faster than oil.

I have an external cooler with a thermostat.

Technically they do. They come with an air to water cooler that mounts between the block and the oil filter.

It doesn't really do a ton of cooling though.

Eh it's an oil warmer since it takes water way less to heat up.

Ah yeah, that thing.

Since Water temp is regulated it would work in regulating oil temp. It works, but when an engine is stressed I'm sure the temps go way up.

The 2015 will be worth it. I know that feeling when I stripped my 07 and really hit when I traded it and saw it for sale on their website, but having the 2015 helps.

Got my side moldings installed finally this morning. Also got my tint install quote and scheduled and even built my stereo wiring harness tonight.
