I've had a scale model of a 288 GTO for about 25 years. I still drool over it.

My only problem with the camaro is that you can get the entire car in aftermarket panels AND there were a TON of them. Most of the really clean ones you see these days are aftermarket everything.... including the chassis... makes me go... what's the point.

you want to talk about aging gracefully look at the convertible caddy behind him. The 53 vert was the most expensive car you could buy at the time. PIMP and VERY VERY rare.

Not sure why but I never was totally sold on it. Just seems to look... sleepy and overweight to me.

That was the Palo Alto concourse. There were a lot of seriously rare and nice cars and I have a LOT of pics. I agree that many Camaros these days are not all original, but this one, and the ones that tend to go for a lot of money (numbers matching are easy $100K) are the ones that I like. If I were spending $100K on a car, it probably wouldn't be an old Camaro though.

Werd. I don't think there's an old car on the planet I'd drop $100k on. I'd rather build it myself. I could do a spare no expense build for much less.... $100k and you're talking about GT3, 911, R8, type isht for me. LOL!

I guess I'd drop $100k on a classic race car... but reality it's gonna cost 3-5x's that for what I'd want. LOL!.

I think it's the wheels.

Definitely a part of it. It's like those overly bulky benz wheels. That combined with the headlights and the droop to some of the lines... just looks kinda like it's melting. Like a sad car in a cartoon.

different wheels. Different headlights. Different car.
