Went to my first AutoX
Wow, it was a whole lot of fun. I can see how it can become addicting. I can't wait to go again. I didn't even know that we had them in Santa Rosa until my new neighbor told me about it. If I'm not the last guy in the world to try it out, I would highly recommend it to whomever has been curious about it.

I have a few questions about AutoX...
Does it require a license? How much is it to do an autox event? And where can I find when autoX events are?

The cost is $35 with SCCA membership, without SCCA membership you have to pay an extra $15 weekend membership but that will be knocked off the price of a yearly SCCA membership.
For Bay Area events:

nah tires dont suffer that much. unless you are constantly spinning out at high speeds every corner entry. now track days= kills tires/brakes haha
through scca around the sf region id say more like 3-4 runs depending on the crowd. less people, more runs

I did mine through ESCA. Cost $18/yr membership and $30 for the auto x. We had ten runs.
I didn't notice that much wear on my tires, but I'm definitely switching back to my RE01's for next month's auto x. I think I'll get better grip than with my Toyo's. I was also given some constructive criticism to put more air in my tires to keep the sidewalls holding up better in the corners. Anyone have any thoughts on this or other tips?

and once your learn tire pressure you can fine tune how the car handles with it...
ill let others explain haha
