Weird Noise. Help?

Okay, so I just started hearing this weird noise coming from my 04 wrx (vf34 and supporting mods) it's a short blow off valve sound that i hear once in awhile, but the thing that bothers me is that when i hear the sound, i can feel my car jerk back. I dont know what this can be. so if you have any idea, your help is greatly appreciated.

then my car would want to stall everytime i stop... i dont think so ... maybe there's a puncture along the vaccume line somewhere. I'll check ... but in the mean time, anymore suggestions?

Perhaps the bov is opening prematurely causing the car to run rich and buck?

That's what I would do although I would check for any vacuum leaks first.

Hmm, I think my car exhibits the same exact problem as yours. I did a quick inspection of my vacuum lines and didn't notice any obvious leaks, though they were somewhat brittle.

Does it sound like a high pitched and brief whistle (at least compared to the stock BOV)?

Also, do you also hear that sound when you're at idle and/or when you blip the throttle a few times while stationary?

I notice the jerk as well (only when the car is moving, of course), and its pretty annoying. I didn't notice this before I got a Borla Hush Catback installed.

i have borla hush also. but i dont think that's the problem. I havn't tried while im stationary. so iono. Im leaning towards mike's conclusion that the stock bov is leaking. .. since i sometimes boost creep to 20 psi ... my stock bov might not be able to handle it ... so im just gonna get a ssqv and then see how it is.
