weird el cerrito po po activity on sunday, any ideas?

This past sunday, in el cerrito, near the el cerrito plaza(trader joe's etc), there was this cop that kept staring at this black completely stock wrx wagon. I don't remember whether it was bug eye or not, but it was completely stock, rims, exhaust, everything. Except I think it had tinted windows, don't remember exactl. But yeah he was there for at least 15 minutes, I was moving, so when I got there, he was already there, and then when I was leaving, he was still there. He kept getting in and out of his patrol car with a clipboard and writting and drawing stuff. I originally thought it maybe had a broken window and he's investigating, nope, everything looked good.

Since I am moving to el cerrito, are the cops there **** about modified cars?

I go there all the time to get groceries.. but never get harrassed before. I have a wagon, slammed, and doens't look a bit stock. Cops never care about me. Maybe I have a wagon that's why. Anyways, see you around.

WRB bugeye wagon.

El Cerrito is a nice area. I have done quite a bit of work out there and have some friends that live there. Never heard of any issues.

I have been living there for 11 years now. Got my car in 2004. No problem ever from the police in El Cerrito. Even with my car modified and stuff.

From your profile, it says you are from Berkeley. I go to UC Berkeley and I commute from El Cerrito every day.

To Give you a comparison, In my opinion, Berkeley police are more paranoid than El Cerrito Police, and berkeley police aren't even that bad.

So yeah, just dont do stupid things on the street and you will be fine. There are a lot of retired people living in El Cerrito, so not much bad things go on in El Cerrito at night, so the Cops are pretty chill.

Central is dead center of El cerrito, like one exit close to albany and it's a few exits away from Richmond.

Ranch is considered richmond, along with the costco, I don't know where they cut the line.

But yeah, I thought el cerrito would be nice and chill, I am moving to really close to the bart station, and I just thought that it was weird the cop was staring at that wrx wagon(I was in my jeep). I have a bright red wagon, and I'll back into the carport so the cops only see the saab logo in the front (9-2x), that way they won't see the huge evo2 tip...(luckily the can and the pipes are painted black too)...sounds like I'll be ok.

i think ec is horrible for driving. they always have cops parked in residencial driveways doing speed traps. theyre actually parked in a house's driveway!

The only thing terrible about it is the pavement. The uneveness of the pavement is the only thing that is preventing me from going there.
