they are out in full force today. My friend saw about the entire campbell pd out gunning about an hour ago.

 

I wouldn't think that people are "rushing to the polls" or anything like that...

You should have seen all the CHP out this last weekend. OH MY GOD. Skywalker and I were amazed. I counted at least over 10 different CHP on the roads in an hour and a halfs time. Seriously.

the only cops i saw today were a pair of CHP officers rousting some homless guy on 280 near Winchester, and i live in Campbell. where were they sitting with radar guns?

 

there was a county sheriff and 2 different CHP on Summit road this morning. I was freaking out.

 

damn, i must have missed every single cop on the road today. i came back over 17 into the south bay at about 11:30, and there was one CHP chase car with a semi pulled over, but that's nothing like what other people are describing. maybe my copdar is on today...

 

Last week, there were two Santa Clara County Sheriffs clocking people on Old Santa Cruz Hwy. I right at the big turnout by Lexington Resevoir, and another right after Aldecroft Heights Rd.

I thought there was budget cuts. What the hell's up with all the cops?

I don't know about the local PD's but I do know (or at least I was told) that the CHP is cutting back. I believe they cut about 500 - 700 jobs statewide...
