I was glad when Monta left. Sure he was fun to watch but there's no way we would get close to a title with him on the team.

He's too much of a Carmelo type. Ballhoggin' 24/7 and taking too many bad shots.

The team certainly has a lot to work on, and injuries were a bummer this year for sure, but I feel like this team is better than any team we're had in a long time.

Monta left and led, along with Nowitzski, the supposed lottery bound Mavs to game 7 against the Spurs. He has turned his game around. Hard to imagine the Mavs were only 2 games behind the Warriors during the season. He isn't the same guy he was when he was with the Warriors.

As far as Bogut goes, he plays part time. The other half he's always injured in some form or another. Had we offered DeAndre Jordan $1m/year more, we would've had him instead of Bogut. Monta would have left when his contract was up. Jordan does everything Bogut can do for less money. He's also way more durable and athletic too.

Firing a coach without an eye on an improvement is stupid and there aren't too many out there that would be an improvement.

So I'm curious who they're gonna bring in.

The warriors are still 1 player short of truly competing for who plays the heat.

I certainly agree that Monta is a much better player now since he was forced to play in a more team-oriented offense.

That said, Monta + Don Nelson was just never going to work. But at the time it was hard to tell whether it was more due to Donny or Monta.

Plus Monta is on a much different team now. It's hard to compare him on the Mavs to what he could have been on the current Warriors team.

Looks like I was right about Steve Kerr being the favorite for Warriors head coach. Lacob wants a "yes man" and Kerr is definitely that person.

No head coaching experience, yet Lacob and company says they want to win a title now. Kerr will have a learning curve, and even if he turns out to be good, it will be a few years down the road. Warriors are supposedly built to win now. I just don't see title contention any time within the next 2 years.

The fact that both Bogut and Festus was out cost the Clippers series.

There's been talks about trading for Love. Lee + Iggy or Harrison or Klay for Love.

I'd definitely give up Lee + Iggy for Love.

Kerr is an odd choice.

I figure there are just some political personal issues with why they tossed jackson. They were very close to being there this year. Couple injuries and some interesting play calls really hurt them.

I'm a fan of Love. I wouldn't mind seeing that happen. But I like Iggy too. He was a big part of the team success.

I wouldn't start making big trades right away as they're really close. I'd keep the team intact. Try to make some minor improvements and see if the coach was really to blame.

Was talking about the series vs GS. Blake likes to push off with his off hand after his signature spin move. Refs failed to call it. Regardless, GS was doomed without Bogut. Just makes me feel good to blame it on something lol. CP3 is prob my favorite pg, but he does cry a **** ton and is a god dam pesk.

Kerr and we're done I think. That's just breaking morale hardcore to not bring In someone like Van Gundy.

Shiney new stadium, and watch, no curry in a few years. Just don't see a light at the end of the tunnel here with Kerr unless he just totally surprises somehow.

I do like him too, he doesnt care about scoring, like a PG should. I dont think the clippers will make it to the finals, let alone win a championship. They are not good enough.

Tom Thibodeau would be an interesting choice.

Looks like Stan Van Gundy will be going to Detroit. The Warriors team should be the most desirable place to coach for this coming season, but Lacob wants to have a say in how the team is coached, and good coaches are turned off by that. Not a good thing when somebody picks a worse team to coach for. That says something right there. Is Lacob becoming the next Al Davis?

Also looks like Steve Kerr is still available. The ultimate "yes man" person, Lacob's not going to give up on Kerr.
