So I was leaving a friend's house out in Natomas tonight, and getting back on 5 S towards Sac, when I see this yellow blur go by, approaching warp speed. Yup, a screaming yellow zonker SRT-4. So I assume my normal onramp entry speed of 85, merge, and go tootling by in my hooptywagon.

Look up in my rear view to see this thing squat and go *flying* by at at least a a buck-ten, then he stands on the brakes about 50 feet in front of me and hits his hazards.

So at this point, a 240hp turbo car has beaten an 8 year old, automatic, 165hp wagon.

I keep driving, and he keeps dropping back until he's even with me, where I see him and his 2 compatriots pointing and laughing, presumably, at my car.

So I did what anyone getting laughed at by 3 idiots in a Neon would do...



I rolled down my back windows, and gave him a thumbs up.

At which point his crap-eating grin went away, and his two friends start laughing hysterically at him, with the guy in the passenger seat miming turning a window-crank.


Made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Somewhere, some neon driver is still getting crap about his rear windows being cranks, though.........
