What is ilocano? is it a area or term for a county/state that people come from like.

Like in the UK we call poeple from Liverpool scousers?

heheh..well, I'm not FBI (full blooded ilocano). I'm half ilocano, half kapampangan. You think tagalog and ilocano are hard? Try kapangpangan! Me keni ka!

I grew up in a household where both parents spoke tagalog, ilocano, and kapampangan. Talk about f'ed up!

Oh, and for those that don't know, the Philippines are divided into provinces and regions... most provinces have their own spoken dialect (the geographic separation necessitated this), as there are hundreds of islands in the Philippine archipelago. Ilocano is spoken in Ilocos Sur and Norte, Visayan is spoken in Visaya, Kapampangan is spoken in Pampangas, Cebuani is spoken on the island of Cebu, etc... but Tagalog is the "primary" dialect... it is considered the national dialect of the Philippines.

Yes you are correct "ILOCANOS" are people that live in the northern part of the philippines and that also is the name of the language they use ... but dorifto would know that better

I once dated a girl who's ilocano. Ilocano sounds chinese to me, and I'm pure tagalog.
