Wanting to learn Tagolag
Anyone know of any good language programs? The ones I've tried are terrible. Pimsleur doesn't make one for Tagolag yet. My father did not see fit to teach his children his native language.

I had planned to learn from my father after he retired and moved back to CA but he passed a few months ago. I'll check out Sac states program. Do you know anyone that has completed it? I'd hate to spend money on a program similar to a high school french class. I really want to learn the language.

ok, forget the wheels, just come to the meets and if we are there, we'll throw in a few lesssons, or my twin si lambert can teach you , i think he would only charge you
we went to the same school except he was a teacher there j/k.
or just get the filipino channel, watch it for 24 hours and i'm sure after like a month of watching it you'd get it down

oh God, inlaws lol...
here is a book i just found online...
http://iloko.tripod.com/ilocano_cover.gif
author: Carl Rubino
506 Dean Dr.
Rockville MD 20851
USA
e-mail: books@tagalog.org
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=books
Boom that is what i have, its the same author, prolly same book just diff cover?
meh whatever.
the thing to know about ilocano people, is that we deep down were just like all other types of flips...
*that being said ive taken extra special steps to make sure the women i do date are not filipino, although at times i do make exceptions for ilocano women.

btw, best way (imo) to learn any language, is to be just exposed to for like, monthes.
just go to some family parties (cause YOU KNOW there are family parties that go on til the crack of dawn, but we have card tables instead of mohjong tables)
get exposed, its hard to learn soemthing from a book without constant exposure.
the tfc is gg, but ive always hated on it, 1 because its not here in sac, 2 becuase it represents the top teir of filipino people, who, have the fricking whitest skin on Earth, next to pale albino people.
yes, i irag on my own people, hah whatever, i hate all people equallly regardless of race, creed, religion.
