I'd love one if it had GPS built in as well. The Sony that came out "today" looks pretty sick.

Though you'll be paying for it!

Well I have been wanting on for a while now and I was originally thing eee pc when they first came out as it was the only thing that really fit my requirements. Because of traveling I wanted something rather small about the size of the Aspire. It had to be compact, light weight, have a decent size hard drive so I could dump video and photos onto it while traveling, a card reader and some USB ports.

I got the Acer as a gift and I must say that I love it. It has everything I wanted and it has a vga port, three usbs, card readers and it s pretty powerful little machine that runs well.

oh this is the new toy i was talking about. whenever I have to do a paint thickness survey, I need to download the data for analysis and it's much easier with a nice little netbook. with all the gears i already have to bring with me, I don't want to bring another big laptop. And since I won't have a desk, I hate to see my laptop drop and break. So a netbook would work well for me.

Haven't heard too much about the Samsung, however, the ASUS one has been pretty popular.

Ooooo... Great link on the ASUS! I'll think I'll keep an eye out on CES then I'll buy the netbook after... Since I do have something to use for now, I can wait... Thanks again!

These all have XP Home on them, anyone see one with XP Pro or have an luck getting XP Pro to run decently? I'm not sure how much OS stripping down they may have done on these.
