Want to Borrow: Dremel or Air Grinder
Hi i-club,
I was in the process of swapping back to my cobb dp after passing smog and one of the top nut/bolt combos for the turbo to dp is seized/cross threaded.
I tried a breaker bar and pb blaster and this bolt won't budge.
Does anyone have a dremel or grinder I could use to cut the nut and bolt off?
Thanks in advance.

Are you needing the 90 degree or 180 degree model? Sears has the 90 degree's on sale right now for less than $60 and they're right over at Hillsdale and San Bruno (Tanforan). I assume you have your own compressor?

I got the MAC 180, but my MAC 90 got stolen.
If nobody steps up and I am still getting my dinner in S.F. tonight I'll "loan" you my 180 degree.

By "loan" I mean you pay me the value of it in cash ($115.00) when I put it in your hands and when I get it back in the same working condition you get your money back.
Not trying to be a punk it's just the last 3 tools I've let get borrowed either got "lost" like my scribe and #2 phillipps, or like the 90 degree MAC I had, stolen and none have been replaced.

REPLY BY 5pm and I'll call you then. Seriously thoh with that $115 you'd have to give me just go and buy yourself the pair. IMHO one of the best tool investments I've made the last 10 years has been my dremel set and die grinder set.
*I don't loan my dremel, it's an original from the 80's and is straight pimp.

honestly, break it off. I had to use a 2ft breaker bar with a cheater pipe on it. Have one person hold a wrench on the inside of the bolt and put the breaker bar w/ cheater pipe onto the outside (towards the exhaust exit) and with all your might break it off. I have had to do this multiple times at work due to people cross threading bolts and nuts when installing down pipes.
