Question Curious, are there "Generic" Dremel bits?

Man, these Dremel brand bits are really expensive... Like $2-5 more than a regular drill bit! Anyone know of cheaper bits, or cheaper places to get them at then home depot or lowes?

Just curious...

Harbor Freight, there is one at Garfield and Auburn, or OSH, I think both carry some generic ones, I would try harbor first

I often find myself needing to cut fiberglass and steel, the only dremel bits you can do that with are the hardened Tungston Carbide bits, and they are hella expensive.

But cheaper ones simply don't hold up to getting the job done-
Unless you're working something soft like wood or plastic, I'd say buck up and spring for the good bits, or else you'll wind up spending even more for dozens of the crappy ones.

Kosta definitely go with the Dremel Brand like Pete said. I have had the same thing happen to me and I finally realized its better to get 2 dremel bits then 8 ****ty ones becase in the long run it will be cheaper to go Dremel...

nothing good is cheap, and nothing cheap is good

Steve,

Check out E-bay. I bought four cordless dremel tools and a bunch of bits from E-bay. There is a hardware store in Arizona that sells on E-bay and their prices are very good. I bought the newest Flex attachment for $16 shipped and I think it goes for between $25 - $30 at Lowes, Walmart and Home Depot.
