I have a Helix catted down pipe mated to a very nice Tanabe Touring medallion and I get no droning what so ever!!! This exhaust also draws little to no attention from the cops!

plus i couldnt stand the smell from the exhaust coming inside during the summer... and where i live cops are DICKS about loud exhaust
keep it stealth >>> wagon + catted exhaust w/ road tune = fun ride and no modified exhaust tickets

I agree completely ! A nice VF34 package with a catted exhaust system on a wagon... nice stealthy, under the radar car that people overlook

Any update, Jon?

I'm looking at picking up a Tanabe Touring for zero drone in my catless setup for the wagon.

I have a 3" downpipe to a 3" midpipe with an OEM STI muffler. (Silent while cruzing) When It heats up and you get on it, there is a great sound.

I used to get major drone with a magnaflow setup and the downpipe.

E-Cutout open and I am louder than anything on the road.

+1. Wagon w/ bush, helix up and down. No drone but the freaking coilover clanking sound is way more noticible.. and the squeaky noise too.

Better off keeping the stock catback and getting a down pipe. It's cheaper and you'll get better performance out of it.

You're not going to feel much difference with just a catback. It'll sound cool, but that's about it. The up pipe and down pipe is where the magic happens
