I'll tell ya how he cost his team the Cup. I'll be the first one to tell you that italy looked liked crap the last two overtimes and most of the second half, Zidane himself almost scored on a header that was a beautiful save by Buffon. Here lets just say this... even if they didnt score in overtime to win it.. you and I both know Zidane makes HIS PENALTY shot and puts the pressure on Italy. Once the frenchy missed his shot it was over... all italy had to make theres.... less pressure now... being up one because even if italy misses they are up one. Brasil played like **** v france, we deserved to lose right then and there ESP given the level of talent on the field and bench. Plain and simple no excuses, if the team would have sacked up and played to 1/10th their potential in that game and the others to follow they would have another star on their jersey.

I defended ronaldo? Last i checked i was calling him the second ball on the field, fat, old, etc. (all of which he is, but it still doesnt subtract from his talent)

And it does matter how you won, when you win by resorting to under handed tactics it does soil the win to anyone who has an ounce of decency. I just love it how maztaball (aka douchebag) was outed on the world stage (like being outed in the italian leagues wasnt enough already). I do know that even italians (the ones from italy, you may have heard about them) even feel disgraced about his behavior (and they should). So while alot of the bandwagon fans are happy they have another star (congrats on your che..win), alot of the people that were represented by those who did what they did feel a bit disgraced. The game is much more then winning or losing, it is just as much about how you play the game . Hell for some it is more about how you play the game then if you win or not.

That is the bloody ****ing essence of brasilian soccer, and most likely why it is so widly popular. So the italians can continue to make up for their lack of skill, honor, respect, and class by diving, taunting, insulting, injuring players. But that will only show what brand of "champions" they truely are.

being a champion just about winning, its about HOW YOU WIN.
