Virus - Opanki - How to get rid of it?

There is a virus on my work computer and I can't seem to get rid of it. I used AVG / Symantec and even formated the computer. Does anyone have a clue how to get rid of this dayam worm?

Someone used my comp and was on AIM and clicked on the virus

Reformatting would get rid of the virus hands down...did you bring over old files or something from your previous format that may have been infected?

wtf? reformatting doesn't fix it? Most websites say a quick virus scan will fix it. http://www.antivirusprogram.se/virus...anki_4668.html

I used panda activescan, however it only works with IE. It's a free online virus scan that's updated pretty often.

Which variant do you have? Look on symantec.com

Looks like a pretty easy one to get rid of...

the opanki virus is not covered by stinger, but yes it is a very good tool. My only other suggestion is to disable/renable system restore so you don't have the chance of restoring to a virused state.
