Car Info: Wish it was still my WRB STI
Just took my car to Ron Price this morning to fix this. Talked directly to their service manager Jon Goodridge. After they put my car on the lift, they claimed that it was not an installation error since they don't touch the sway bar when replacing struts. However, as an earlier poster mentioned, it was indeed the sway bar flipping b/c of BENT sway bar links. I asked them howcome they didn't notice the bent sway bar links when the struts were replaced since I have an extended warranty. They admitted that they should have noticed it before and offered to pay for labor if I pay for parts. I countered with I have an extended warranty so parts is covered but I don't want to pay my deductible b/c it should have been found and corrected last time. He tried to ask me to pay half of the deductible and I said no and he said that he'd cover it out of goodwill. In any case, I did wait longer than I was told (was told 45min but waited two hours) and now I have new rear sway bar links. I'm shocked that they were bent so badly and now after looking at the new ones they are perfectly straight. They initially claimed that they bent b/c I have jumped my car off a ramp. I told them I'm the only driver and I haven't ever jumped my car. Must have been wear and tear from regular driving since I've never autocrossed it or anything like that. Makes me wonder what else is bent in my car now from normal driving...

I went in there to buy some "stock" gear oil and they didn't have any. I had to explain it to the guy at the parts counter.

The guy at the parts counter said, "They just have a big drum in the back".
