Yeah I pay around $100 a year for commerical usenet too, but that's not enough bandwidth for all my downloads (15GB/month) so I have to leech off comcast's. (At one time I had to have 2 usenet accounts just for enough downloads while I was on DSL )

I'm just saying that for 'free' usenet, it is way better than on DSL

as a point of referance, here is our DSL speeds. We pay $45 a month at the shop ( and thats the comercial price )

try checking the speeds at 8-9pm on weeknights and around 4-5 pm on weekends...

i'd like to see how the traffic is affected at the dslam during these hours...

btw, what is your guaranteed DOWN speed?
