Whats wrong?

 

his turbo got hax0red and hits 23 psi's randomly.

 

did someone forget to turn off valet mode?

 

valet mode lets you boost at 23 psi?

 

No valet mode limits boost..

 

i dont see why you made a post since i told you what happened. But for everyone else who wonders, i just got down installing a vf30, sti injectors, and walbro pump. I have xede as my ecu and loaded the stage 2 91 octane map. FIrst time going WOT i hit 1.6bar and immediatly let off. Other than no boost control the car runs great. I double checked everything and all the lines are hooked up correctly but im still using the restrictor the xede came with so maybe thats the problem. Gonna goto vishnu right now but i heard shiv is in new york possibly......

 

1.6 bar is fine for 91 octane, boost away .... :banana:

 

Turns out the problem was that he is using an older XEDE version which didn't not offer boost control. The overboost is caused by the factory ECU still being in control of the boost control solenoid which is mapped, obviously, for the stock turbos 7psi wastegate spring.

yea, i always thought the xede i had was the newer version since it has the new harness. I would have never guessed it was that but since we went through the whole engine bay and double checked everything it could only be that. Thanks again shiv for looking at my car and helping solve the problem, i really appreciate it. I can't wait to get the newer xede and up the boost
