some people just need a hug.
I can't believe an STI person would actually go on this board and hate on Rotas.
If you didn't know or don't remember, Rota was the ONLY AFFORDABLE solution when HUNDREDS of STI owners realized that their BRAND NEW STI didn't come w/ snow-abled tires.... back when there was like 3 wheels available for STI people due to caliper clearance.
*hugs people*

p.s. for all the JDM haters... face facts, you're poor. You get what you pay for; quality doesn't come cheap.

I've seen about 3x more SSR's, Gram Lights, and OZ Wheels cracking/breaking/bending than I've heard rotas. There are only about 3 or 4 occurances in the last 5 years that a rota has broken without any fault of the owner/driver. I've seen about 8 or 9 occurances in the last 3 years that the above "JDM" Wheels breaking or cracking, and bending, for NO REASON WHATSOEVER.
There is quality in Rota. I'm sorry that you can't see it, or want to believe it. I like JDM wheels, I think they are sweet. But I definitely don't believe them to be of higher quality that rotas.

Rotas are NOT powder coated. They are primered, painted, and clear coated... Just like a car.
Just like ANY JDM Wheel (minus the CRAZY amount of clear coat).

i had a set of Gram lights crack on me =(. i was never a fan of rotas but i'm rockin a set now. thanks to the guys at Suby Dude when i was in need of rims when my grams cracked out of no where! put it this way...ALL rims serve the same purpose. i rather spend less on rims now knowing that there is a high chance of it scraping, bending, scratching, crackin etc.
