PDA phones?

Hey guys,

I'm looking to get a PDA phone, specifically looking at the Treo 650. I currently have cingular (and a black razr), and my contract has not expired yet. Does anyone know where I can get a treo without activating a new plan besides the palm website?

Anyone got any kind of hookup?

TIA,

Oleg

i was originally looking at the treo 650 as well from cingular since my contract is gonna expire in 1 month and i'm allowed to upgrade already.

However, i was informed that the cingular HTC 8215 is a better phone, have u check that one out?

Btw, for phones without contract, your best bet would be ebay if u dont wnat to pay retail/

Checked out ebay and craigslist, seem to be selling these phones slightly used for ~$300 or so. If I can find a new one for $400 though, I'd rather buy a new one rather than getting it used.

I have played with the Treo, but have never touched the Cingular phone although it does look promising. The only thing that bothers me about it, is that it's made by Cingular and that it's somewhat bulky compared to the Treo (although the treo itself is a little brick).

I have a treo 650. Also tried a number of the Windows smartphones. God those things sucked - slow interface, wicked unstable, espensive addon software.

My 650 is exactly what I needed.

Hey bud, I have the verizon's Audiovox PDA w/ windows capability. It's a great phone. I can also surf the internet faster than dail-up. With the treo, make sure you get the one with windows installed. Alot of people I know, end up selling the treo and end up getting the Audiovox. . .well theres my 2 cents. . .peace.

I would get the windows-based one, but they don't make em for Cingular, only Verizon I believe.

I read reviews on the treo650 saying it freezes quite often, and people switching over to the HTC 8125 and the software on that runs quite smooth despite the somewhat 'slow' processor.

I'm in the middle of trying to get a PDA phone myself. Anyone on iclub work at a phone place? Hookup if cashis and i both get one?

Based on my experiences with Treos, I won't buy another Treo anytime soon. Functions on the Treo are good but the quality of the phone itself really sucks.

This will probably be my next purchase. http://www.dopodasia.com/Dopod/Singa...eft1_pro_9_2_3

I'm not authorized to throw out prices because I'm not in vendor status but as many members on here that have worked with me can tell you I have competitive prices!!!

In terms of a Smartphone the first question is will you use it to its full potential do u plan on using the data side of it will you be utilizing the calendar or do you just want an all in one multimedia/business use device?

The reason I ask this is cause out of all the PDA/Smartphones I still use the Blackberry 8700c as its PUSH Email, I actually retreive all my email on my BB before it even hits my desktop. 2ndly is the keyboard is well spreadout unlike the treo 650 and the best part is its EDGE so the internet connection is do-able, Geez i feel like im dawgin treo's but believe it or not ive ran many tests and the BB8700 is faster that a Treo and a much more reliable device!

check out www.phonescoop.com it has a feature on the site to compare every PDA/Smartphone in the market or you can always purchase the phone outright and exchange it within 30 days...

Just my 2cents
