Wow the Maldanodo vs Teixera fight was crazy. Maldanado ate bomb after bomb from Teixera in the 1st round, and was still standing at the end (he needed the cage to stand up though). Doctor stopped fight after 2nd round.

Crazy fight!!

Rogan: How was fighting Maldanado?
Texiera: He's not human!

lol

Not a bad event tonite. Fitch fight was insanely technical and Anderson deflated Boner.

There is really no gameplan that seems to work on Anderson unless you can take him down and lay on him for 5 rounds. Although I think Anderson learned from that and his TDD is now even better.

I didnt like Anderson showing off and taking the hits from Boner but I doubt he would do that to anyone thats fair competition.

Talk about padding the record. One if the most obvious mismatches of all time. I hate the dude and the way the ufc protects him.

also how does ufc protect him? who would offer him a challenge in his weight class? hes getting old. If you think Anderson should jump weight classes, why should he? Hes old and has wiped his weight class out. If anything GSP should come up to his weight or Jones should cut off one of his legs and drop down to fight him.

So you honestly think a retired fighter with half his skills wasnt a patsy fight.

I thought it was an easy fight for him hence the showboating but who would you have chosen him to fight? Sonnen? Munoz? Weidman? Fillipou (sp)?

He hopped up a weight class and made Boner look silly whos ranked 4th best in the 205 weightclass. Youd rather him fight Jones? Bader? Vitor? Not gonna happen. He was just there to save the event like he said. Nothing to do with stat padding. If someone wants to challenge him, they can either drop or gain weight and challenge him. Hes not going to end up like Penn.

GSP looked good tonight! More aggressive than I've seen him in a LONG time, plus looked like his knee was holding up really well! Condit fought well, but I'm stoked that GSP is BACK!!!
