Are turbo inlets legal?

I got these pics from my past post about FMICs, but I'm unsure where turbo inlets fall in.

well, turbo inlets aren't part of an intercooler system, they are an intake system for the turbo, and since it is modified, I would assume that it would need CARB exemption for it to be legal...

Yeah... I was thinking it would be ok if I cover up the logo with some electrical tape.

I would just paint it black, unless you're going to a smog only station, they know a little more

Well I was thinking of the gimmick motorsports 2.4 inlet (it comes in black) They will see the silicone, so I don't know what they will think.

I think you shouldn't bother with the inlet. If you're looking for an easily removable mod, alcohol injection is pretty much 100% reversible. Just get another tmic for it.

I went to the state ref with my old bug eye with the Perrin turbo inlet on there and he had no problem passing me with it on there. The state ref mentioned that he considered it a stock replacement part that did not effect emissions. Wich was good news for me as I did not want to take it off.
