that's who I'm dealing with. We're doing a 1000/1000/1000 oil consumption test right now. I'm loosing mad oil and have NO leaks. It's been in like 4 times for this and should have been in more.
I've got like 13k left on my warranty but I'm wondering if this isn't something similar to what is wrong with my car.

I am and have burn burning a REDICULOUS amount of oil.
And can you fill me in on this "bad block" and what you did with the dealership. I ask because I am currently dealing with the dealership as more warranty gets closer to its end.

Hey Oneman, i had a similar issue with my 05 and Mark over at SC Subaru took care of business. i was burning a quart every 800~1000 miles. When SOA approved them to pull my motor we found that all four cylinders were out of spec. basiclly all four cylinder bores were tappered being the tightest fit with the piston at TDC and super loose at BDC. When the heads came off, my motor looked like it had 200,000 hard miles on it and tons of deposits on it.

I don't know if there's a time limit, but I know that if you have your car at a dealership, I believe, 3 times or more for the exact same issue and it doesn't get resolved, you can start proceedings to have it 'lemoned'... if that was something you might be inclined to do. Because I'm sure they'll get it figured out for you.

mark knows me and my car pretty well so maybe I'll just drop by and talk to him about it. Johnny is handling my car right now. It seems like he's moving toward the same thing....a tear down. I would not be surprised to find the same thing happened to my car. My only modification is a cat back so I'm pretty sure I'll be clear on the whole warranty deal.

off subject slightly....Ed, how long do you think its going to take you to upload maps to the new APs and get them shipped out? Now that Cobb is saying they'll be released on the 15th it screws up all my plans
I'll be heading through the bay area (again
) the 22nd (the following Friday) so if its possible I'll just pick it up and save you the trouble of shipping...unless you expect to get them sent out fairly quickly.

We were planning on shipping them as soon as we recieve them. If you can wait till you come through, that's not a problem either. Your choice
.
