I don't think the challenge was very good. They didn't really have a point behind it. Ok, best car for $1,000. No wait, best car for rum runners. No wait, best car for running from the cops. No wait, best car for NASCAR? WTF?

I've noticed all the remarks comparing TG US to TG UK with no mentions of TG Australia. TGA had a slow start too but so far season 3 has been pretty good. And for those that have seen all the episodes, they too have had casting changes.
It should also be noted that in the UK they were all automotive journalist first, not TV personalities. They had many years working out their criticism voice in writing before they got on a show. For any of you who read Clarkson's articles for the Sunday Times would see what I mean.

I also downloaded and watched all 4 episodes of Top Gear USA and I was completely shocked that I didn't hate it. I was entertained. All the guys are funny in their own way. Even my wife liked it.
The $1000 car thing sort of made me sad because I have bought loads of $500-$1000 cars and had lots of fun with them over the years but whatever - those were their choices. At least 2/3rds of the cheap *** cars I have bought I was able to enjoy, do a little maintenance and pass it on to someone who needed a car. Sure, we destroyed a few but those would not have suited anyone. Anyway, no complaints - I enjoyed the show and now I have a strange longing for a Ford Raptor. Just looks like so much fun. I enjoyed that around half of the footage of the truck was it off the ground and/or from underneath... Wicked! It's been a few years since I have gone yumping.
The SLS AMG is so awesome... But the doors thing was pretty funny.

i'm quite serious, well hiring Olivia Munn is a far crap shoot but hiring a some eye candy will help. She doesn't have to be a huge car nut or have exceptional driving skill either (the two hosts have none). I think it'll be cool to see her be apart of the challenges or skits.
So instead of Oliva Munn, how about Sara Underwood?

Keep watching the background, in one full episode and in the ending of 2 others you will see my happy *** standing there with a few of my buddies
Look up on the bridge behind the cast.

he sucks as a host/comedian but id listen to him talk about cars all day.
then the asked adam corrola guess he has some race cars but then nbc shut down the deal.
i dont know, people hate on american top gear but i look at it like this. they dont even expect it to be as good as the uk either, so y should we? but its def the 2nd best car show around far from the original but now i get to watch twice as much top gear even if it is top gear lite.
