For the Version 2. The version 2's are like $400-475. Version 1's I see for $150-275. There's was one on here not to long ago for $200.
Side note... How do you like the 255? I'm trying to figure out what the hell to do with my car. Planning on a new motor before the summer's over. Either that or I'm gonna sell the car and buy a forester XT... my wife wants me to buy a truck. BAH!

where'd you read that?
I know they stopped supporting it (upgrading it) and I know they don't work for cars over 2007 I think... and I did hear somewhere that the newest tuner software wasn't built for it but I didn't hear you couldn't use it...
that would suck. In fact I think it would be pretty messed up. That's a good way to force people to upgrade to your newest stuff but it's terrible customer support. I'd be tempted to just do open source if they're going to do this. What about someone that buys a V1 at full price. Gets their tune and then drives it untouched for years. Now they decide they want a new tune like they were promised when they bought it... but they can't. That's B.S.

a V1 can be tuned if the tuner has the old software, I know GST does, you just don't get the fancy stuff like speed density, launch control, anti-lag and flat foot shifting.

You can still tune with the V1 but they stopped updating the software so you don't get access to a lot of the newer maps and parameters they've unlocked. This is fine for basic setups, but for more complicated setups I recommend using the V2. I actually prefer using open source over the V1 in most cases.
