one year in oregon when i was very young we came home to find a tree landed on our house. Went to see the damage and the tree broke through the window and stabbed right through my brothers mattress. So lucky it didnt happen at night cus it would have went straight threw him.

Bump, just had a tree fall the other day 50 feet from my room.
Trees are gonna be soaking up the water this weekend.
avoid parking under crusty looking trees. Oaks and redwoods are usually permanent, but crappy softwood trees usually fall more often. Look for crotch rot, sitting water in a tree crotch is just begging for that limb to fall off.
