it's called jealousy. i too am jealous of most of those guys. sure i wish (dream) of having money like that. and yes many don't drive very fast in comparison to many of us. maybe because they are driving a car that cost 1/50 more than ours. i've said things just as silly in the past. and you're a worldly grown man so i know you're not about where the comments going.

If I had to estimate my own survey of cars and their drivers, based on drivers with actual skill it would be:
Ferrari 10%
Porsche 50%
Subaru STi 80%
and thats why i love catching up to them on 280 when they cut me off and "autobahn" me without using their signal. I catch up to them, signal in their direction, and i wouldnt be suprised if they hit me if they didnt tap their brakes as i cut back in front of them and get back into my initial lane.

of course im jealous sometimes, i would love to have a nice Porsche, but i would prove that i earned the title of driving one, and wouldnt cruise thru the mountains going 40 mph the whole way down when theres a cheap car behind you and you wont pull over because you dont want to swallow your pride and stoop down to that level and pull over.

haha Rich, not trying to single anyone out but I used to own a Porsche and have alot of friends and aquaintances with Porshces and Ferraris. Its easy to generalize about an entire group of car owners and say "People who drive (fill in expensive car you dont own) are dicks", and yeah perhaps you have seen someone in one of these cars do something obnoxious or retarded on the road, but I still guarantee that theres the same ratio of dicks and retards to cool responsible car guys in the Porsche crowd as the Suby crowd or Ferrari crowd, or whatever. Just like in every other aspect life, of once you stop judging people on superficial differnces and know people in a different crowd personally you find out theyre pretty much the same as you

I actually met a cool guy in a porsche cayenne turbo... This is from a post i made a year ago on a private forum enjoy:
(in my moms 2.2L outback wagon at the time of this encounter.)
i was driving home 17 up the 2 big turns from losgatos, and right before the (blank) exit, all the good drivers pass everyone while they still can on the freeway to get 1st position in the mtns.
so this porsche cayenne turbo trys to swoop me, he does, knowing i had another 10 seconds before the exit, i swooped him back plus a few more cars, then he tried to do some more swooping, he was about to pass me but i downshifted that **** and blocked him out in the left lane, so we were now ahead of all the cars that were planning on exiting. then i was like cmon go to bear creek, and HE DID!
i was like AHH HEYELLLL JEAHH!! i threw my drink and cell in my jacket and shoved it in the corner, knowing id be pulling like 3/4 Gs haha. so the straight before the turns, i put my hazards on and said, lets go foo and so we went and he did a good job of keeping up, id loose him on most the turns but he had the straights fuhsho.
so i pulled over for him two minutes in at the (blank) pull out (ali g mad respeck) and he pulled up next to me, i was like wtf is he doing, thought itd be some snobby guy cussing me out cuz of the 17 situation, but he was so chill and was like " those were some good lines man, your amazing, keep it up" and i was like "you to, take it easy" and he went ahead and i followed up to summit rd and stayed with him.
then he pulls off on (blank) and i was like DANG he lives by me sorta, then he turns on (blank) and i was like HOLY CRAP!!! RALLY TIME!!!
he was going 50 mph past houses, i was like ahh hell nah i dont do that, so i caught up to him in the rally portion, and the one way cliff zone i totally owned that, but i was behind him and didnt wanna be a dick. then he pulls off to his road and flashes me goodbye, i wanted to talked to him but he kept driving away and waved.
but he lives like 3 miles up the road from me, and that private road he lives on is RALLY SUPREME, i went to an open house up there a year back and remeber how sweet it was
so im wondering, this guy must have a real sports car, and he must let me drive on his private rally road haha, that house that sold has a ton of land too, i wonder what hes doing with it? COOOL!

its not like it was a freeway, its a mountain road uphill about 25-40 mph corners with one 70mph straight i had the advantage. Ive driven it at least 500 times. Ive lived in the mountains since i was 12. And ive been playing gran turismo since '98 haha its all about keeping your momentum on a smooth line. Im not one to lie about this kind of stuff either.
